Katherine Morley is a Theatre Director and Creative Learning specialist; she trained at Central School of Speech & Drama, London.
She is based in Glasgow and works throughout Scotland, Europe and beyond and has directed and created work for many companies including Tron Theatre Glasgow, Scottish Opera, TAG, The Scottish Ensemble, The British Council, Paragon Music Ensemble and last year, Crear vale Pena in Buenos Aires.
As Artistic Director of Reeling & Writhing Theatre Glasgow, she directs all in-house national touring productions but also dedicates much of her time to creative learning based commissions and regularly works with the East Renfrewshire, Glasgow & West Lothian Councils’ Creative Links Officers and Cultural Coordinators. She has written and delivered participatory projects and educational materials for nursery, primary and secondary aged young people, as well as specialist groups such as hospitalised young women, homeless young people, or groups of older and retired ‘young people’.
